As part of a course in my second semester, my class collaborated with the SMOTIES project. This project works with small and remote places across Europe to gather and develop solutions for them.

In smaller teams, we collected stories and information about the town of Oberzeiring, Austria. My team focused on local heroes and vacancies throughout the town. To conclude the project, we designed boards that were part of an exhibition presented at the main square of Oberzeiring.

My main task was photography. For our local heroes’ stories, I took portraits that highlighted what made them unique and significant for the town. Concerning the vacancies, while a resident told us stories about these places, I took pictures of every house. Furthermore, I documented everything that happened during our six-day stay in the town with many photographs.
